I was bit by a fairy!

It has been too long since I have said anything.

I started a new job - that I do like - but there are trying days (people are crazy - that is all I will say) - but I work 4 tens & have three days off a week. While I love the three days off a week - because of the hours I work it seems I can't get much done. I think the more I get use to this schedule I will learn to manage my off time to do more things I love.

I do have some amazing ideas floating around in this little brain of mine. I keep a notebook & a package of pencils & erasers on my desk to doodle all the time. At the rate I am going I will have enough 'doodles' to make a lifetime of work for myself - LOL!!!

I have had a lot of time to think about something I have known about myself for a long time though. Being an artist I am sometimes very judgemental on other art. Not always in a bad way - but I do have a tendency to see flaws - I never would tell an artist this - but while I do that I have recently learned to see past them & see the true beauty.

I tend to think things are beautiful I would not have thought so many years ago. My artist eye has fully formed. I don't see things for what they are but I see them for the blood sweat & tears that are put into them. I see what the artist has done with their hands & mind that have made an amazing display of beauty.

My husband & I went to an event this past weekend that had artist set up in their booths - I am looking at things going OMG that is absolutely AMAZING - I keep seeing in his face that he thought I was a little off my rocker. So I finally said - you think I have weird taste don't you? He of course agreed. I explained to him that I wasn't seeing the art like he was - I was seeing the work that went into the piece & not just the piece. I do so wish everyone could see the world the way I do - you would truly appreciate the beauty so much more.

So anyway I have some amazing ideas that I am going to try & get into form today before I have to get my yard mowed - the creative fairy has bit me - but she forgot to add 24 hours to each day for me to make it possible for me to actually get all this done!!! LoL
